What we collect, and what we do with it
DuetSpace is a beta. The only information we hold about you is what you chose to type into a form here. Last updated 5 September 2026.
Who is responsible for your data
DuetSpace, operated from London, United Kingdom, decides how the information described here is used, which makes it the data controller. Reach us at privacy@duetspace.com.
What we collect, and when
Only what you type into a form on this site. When you join the beta: your email address, and optionally where you are based, how you describe yourself, whether you have collaborated before, whether you have ever agreed an ownership or revenue split, and what became difficult the last time you collaborated. After signing up you may also answer four optional questions about a past collaboration, and you may separately agree to a research call. If you go on to book that call, the booking page asks where you are based, whether you have ever agreed an ownership or revenue split, whether we may record the call, and anything you would rather we did not ask about. Every field except the email address can be left blank. There are no analytics or advertising trackers on this site.
Why we use it
To contact you about the DuetSpace beta, and to understand how people actually collaborate so we design the product against real experience rather than assumptions. Your answers may be quoted internally while we decide what to build. We do not sell this information, and we do not use it to advertise to you.
Our lawful basis
Consent. You chose to fill in the form, and you can withdraw at any time by emailing us. Withdrawing does not affect anything done before you asked. Where you have agreed to a research call, that consent is recorded separately and can be withdrawn on its own.
Who else sees it
The site runs on Vercel and the answers are stored in a Neon Postgres database hosted in London. If you book a research call, Calendly handles the booking and holds your name, email address, the time you chose and your answers to the questions on that page. If and when we start sending email from the site, Resend will process the message. Those providers process data on our instructions and for no purpose of their own. Nobody outside DuetSpace and those providers sees your answers.
How long we keep it
Until the beta programme ends or you ask us to remove it, whichever is first. Ask, and we will delete your record and confirm that we have. If you agree to a research call being recorded, the recording is used only so we can write up notes, is never shared outside DuetSpace, and is deleted once those notes are written.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to how we are using it. Email privacy@duetspace.com and we will respond within a month. If you are unhappy with our response you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Cookies
One cookie, set only after you join the beta. It holds the id of your signup so the pages that follow know which answers are yours, and it expires after 30 days. There are no advertising or analytics cookies, so there is no consent banner to click through.
